How to play City Bus Driver
City Bus Driver puts you behind the wheel of a twelve-metre bus on three city routes of six stops each. At every stop you pull into the marked box, open the doors and let passengers off and on. You are paid for keeping to the timetable, driving smoothly and staying out of trouble.
Controls: Up / W gas, Down / S or Space brake (tap for gentle stops; hold when stopped to reverse), Left / Right or A / D steer, E to open and close the doors at a stop. On a phone: steering on the left; DOORS, BRAKE and GAS on the right.
Tips
- Tap the brake rather than holding it, because the brakes get stronger the longer you hold them. Sudden stops and sharp corners upset passengers.
- Long buses need room for right turns. Swing out toward the middle of the road before you turn, or the back will clip the kerb.
- The yellow box at the next stop turns green when the bus is in the right place. Stop there and press E.
- Wait for passengers to finish boarding before you close the doors. Shutting them early leaves people behind and costs comfort.
- Running a red light costs $150 and a collision costs $200, which is more than a few seconds of lateness.
